Katie takes pride in each piece, tiny or large, that she creates, with careful attention to detail and craftsmanship. Every design is handcrafted from top quality polymer clay, a non-toxic, manmade substance that has all of the properties of traditional clays, comes in a rainbow of colors, and is bakeable. She mixes colors, just as a painter mixes paint, to create custom pallets for her designs. Each piece is handsculpted and then baked to perfection. When cured and cool, Katie adds embellishments such as glaze, glitter, painted details, rhinestones and ribbon which gives them a special appeal and signature look.

Her work is inspired by trends in fabric and scrapbooking, nature, children's apparel, greeting card art, craft magazines, rubber stamps, color and pattern.

Katie's designs are sought after by jewelry designers, designers of childrens' apparel and accessories, scrapbookers, crafters, and Moms.

Katie's love of creating started circa 1974 when at age 3 she was given her first box of crayons and first set of Play-Dough. Many, many boxes of Crayolas later she graduated with a BFA in illustration, concentration in the childrens' market. She has been a small business owner since 1993 and has been selling her work online since 2005. She lives with her husband, 5 children, 2 cats, 2 birds, and 6 dogs in the country and creates her art in the heart of her home, a busy kitchen, mostly wearing her pink, fuzzy pajamas and usually has a furry creature or two in her lap.
